Lionheart

In April 2016, while riding his bicycle in Nashville, David Francisco was hit by a distracted driver. Doctors told him he would never walk again. His life had changed forever. David Francisco's Lionheart is a rich and poignant autobiography that takes the reader on a journey of renewal and redemption, in both story and song. Through weeks in the hospital and months of intense therapy, David regains the ability to walk and, even more importantly, finds purpose in his tragedy. This eloquent self-portrait of the talented musical artist captures the pain and progress of David's new life, through the lowest of lows and highest of highs. But what makes it even more unique, each chapter is a deep dive into the meaning behind each song from David's album of the same name. Lionheart is so much more than a simple recounting of David's post-crash odyssey; Lionheart is a movement, with the aim of empowering people to find purpose in their tragedy.
